Default anyone using fwp internet....

Dear friends..
If anyone has experience in internet access through reliance or indicom fixed wireless phones please share your experience.I wish to consider this service as a cheap back up to a main broadband connection for online trades.I need a backup to place stoploss orders or emergency square offs but I dont want to pay for another broadband connection....
thank you...
santo...

I use Tata Indicom's wirelss phone(which they call walky). This phone has an inbuilt modem in it and it has to be connected through an usb port to the pc.Speed:115.2kbps(not download/upload speed ofcourse). They charge 40 paisa/minute,if u don't opt for any internet scheme.I don't like their phone services, but use this dial up connection once in a while when the bsnl 'dataone' broadband goes down,as a backup. Not bad.Don't know about reliance.

I use tata's plug2surf. Speed up to 155 and does give it if network coverage is good in your area. No problem of dropped calls, i have used it for marathon 10-11 hr sessions without a drop, more than sufficient for trading i feel.

Tariffs available on website.

Yes santo it's good enought to place online orders through terminals and running a software which downloads RT data from vendor's servers.
