Friends,

I am working in Saudi Arabia.
I Just got an interest in investing money only in the IPO.
Because i dont have time to keep checking the stock price, etc.
So, i request you to help me in IPO investing in the step by step process.
1. I have an NRI account in HDFC Bank.
2. I will enable the Demat account feature in HDFC Bank.
3. I will keep watching for the upcoming IPO's. If i satisfy with any new company what are the further step i have to do.
I need the next step.

Thanks & Regards,

Hi Sathyguy,

Firstly, investing in IPO does not mean you should invest and forget about it. You have to keep a check on your stock prices on a "regular" basis (regularity depends on the type of investor you are and your investment horizion).

Secondly, it may not be wise to invest only in IPOs. There are quite a few IPOs who have been reeling way below their issue price ever since they got listed.

Since you mentioned that you do not have the time to look at the markets ofetn, I would advise you to take the MF route to invest in the primary and secondary markets. Investment in mutual funds would suit your profile better. You can opt for diversified equity to indirectly invest in the capital markets. Choice of schemes would depend on your risk profile.

All the best!
