Hi,
I opted for payment method-I for GMR IPO and got 175 shares allotted. Got a letter from registrar to pay the balance amount which I paid 8 days back. The money has been debited from my account. But I still CANNOT ALLOCATE the alloted shares and they remain BLOCKED. Not sure whether this problem is specific to me or is a generic one. Please let me know if you have any inputs regarding this. ...ramesh

I am also facing the same problem so that means it should be generic only.
As per the letter send by Karvy, after the last date of payment 7 sep,it will take 1 more week to complete the formalities. So dont lose hope that I just hope it remains above 200 till we get it. Samved |

the reason for all you people is that---according to sebi rules you cannot allot the shares unless they are listed in the share markets............
this rule is made in due of the ipo scandals that happend few months back.... |

Thanks for clarifying Smineel. As everyone else I was also thinking that the reason for not able to sell these shares were because they were only partially paid ones.
Anyways it seems they have debited the Partially Paid ones today. So the fully paid up ones should be credited soon. |
