Hai,

The price band for this IPO was Rs.730 - Rs.875.

I guess the "initial amount" to be paid per share for an IPO share for retail investor will be less than the actual price band.

May I know what was the inital amount for retail investor to be paid for SunTV IPO?

I searched in Google, but couldn't get the answer.

Hi Mohammed,

Isn't is enough for the retail investors to pay less amount when they bid for shares?

Eg. One IPO's price band is Rs.750-Rs.850. If one wants 20 shares, but he thinks that IPO will get oversubscribed for 3 times in retail section. So he applies for 60 shares.

Now he has to pay full amount for all the 60 shares(ie 60 * Rs.850) or I guess they can pay amount less than that(eg. one share at Rs.400 or so)?

hi praveen,

its all upto to the company to decide at wht price shd it offer the share to the retail investor? in case of RPL Issue, the management gave two options for the retail investors, to bid for a maximum of 1600 shares for Rs 16 per share and the remaining after the allotment or full payment at the time of bidding.

since you want 20 shares and bid for 60 assuming that the IPO might get oversubscribed 3 times , its ur calculation and assumptions but if the comany allott all 60 to you, then you have to pay for 60 shares..
