Retail investors will pay only Rs 16/sh for RPL IPO. The price band is from 57 - 62 bucks.

What does that 16 rupees mean. Please share your views people.

Is it good investing in this?

Hi Kirthika,

It only means u pay 16 rs x no of shares u bid... but if u do get the allotment u need to pay the price decided upon... Senior members please correct me if I am wrong....

Thanks,

Hi khirthika,

Since Cube might have cleared ur doubt and i would also like to add some more information about the Reliance Petroleum IPO.

Finally the much awaited details of Reliance petroleum IPO is out. The main highlights of the issue are :

1. price band is Rs 57 - Rs 62.

2. Minimum number of share to be applied : 100 and in multiples of 100 thereafter. Maximum number of shares allowed for retail investors : 1600

3. Amount payable on application : Rs 16.00 Balance payable against allotment

4. Date : The IPO opens on 13th April.

Lets discuss and share each others view on the following :

Is it a good bet for investing ?

What could be the listing price ?

What is the medium to long term perspective?

My feeling is that it is worth investing, as Petroleum is a sector which is always in demand, and Reliance has already tied up with an MNC for post production sales and also for supply of crude oil. I feel it will give excellent results in a two year horizon. Please give your feedback.

one more doubt - while applying on ICICIDIrect I have the following options -

Payment method:

Retail:

Option 1:
Amount payable on application is Rs.150.00 irrespective of the Bids. Amount to be debited will be the highest value from among the three bids, which would be
(No.of shares) X (Amount payable on application) irrespective of the Bids.

Option2:

Payment amount will be the highest amount from the three bids i.e 100% of Bid.

Non-Institutional Bidders:
In case Non-Institutional bidders option 1. is not applicable.
In case of option 2. amount to be debited will be the highest value from the three bids. i.e 100% of bid.

Can somebody explaing ? I thougth for retail category one has to pay 16*no of shares during applications. Once allotment is done, then pay the balance amount. Is ICICI charging 150 instead of 16 ?

Any guesses on what will be the listing price of Rel Pet? Provided of course one gets the allotment. it's already been oversubscribed 3,4 times on the first day!

I have a theory on why the indices have been falling for the last couple of days. It's not just the coming hols alone. Everybody (especially the FIIs) have been applying for the IPO! And guess who've been ramping up the prices pre-IPO!!
