Selling IPO stock on listing day

#1
Hi All,

This is a generic question applicable to any IPO.

I am using ICICIDirect. I see that after IPO allotment, I see shares credited to my demat account but having no code name (eg ICIBAN) . Neither is the buy or sell option.

The result is that it takes a few minutes for Company code to appear in demat account on the listing day . Hence, it is not possible to sell the shares within a fcouple of minutes of market opening.

How can we sell the shares within a couple of minutes on the listing day

OR

How can we set the limit price for selling on the IPO listing
day before market opens ?

Please share your views.

1.as per SEBI rules now IPO shares can not be traded before Listing is done.
2. for this reason all DP a/c operators release shares to demat a/c on Listing day or previous day after market is closed , but any buy/sell order is not accepted before Listing bell.
3. I am also using ICICIDIRECT and just now have allocated shares to my trading a/c 'which have been given code ADAPOW .
4. ONLY way to do trading on ICICI Direct is to log before 9.55 and wait for opening bell and price appear in trading a/c
5. those using brokers a/c may ask broker to sell at desired price at market opening well in advance.

this is disadvantage for on line trading that u have to do it yourself on opening bell
