Great Work Sanjay123! I dont blame the irate small investors. But the Financial Institutions have invested - for what? Where is the question of growth? If RPOWER need to be anywhere near NTPC, they need about 100,000 Crores atleast. RPOWER mkt cap may be high, but what do they have? About 13,000 crores! What is the book value? About Rs.40? And, that came from Capital Premium Account, and, not even a penny by earnings from operations. Where is the operations? They will start by 2011/12. How will they fund the projects to reach NTPC capacity? Goto the market again? Arent the investors feeling stupid, or, will they invest again? Every financial figure is funny, stupid and just never made sense, and, RPOWER should not have been touched by a BARGE POLE! And, it can go on and on and on ...
In the abscence of CCI and its pricing formula, the financial institutions, by virtue of their muscle, are supposed to assume the role. But the way they are, firstly, they need to go back to classroom to start a fresh about what is Valuation! Also, think whether you want to put your money to these institutions to manage!
