Refund on IPO Online

#1
Hypothetically, If I were to apply for an IPO that got oversubscribed and did not recieve an allotment thru sharekhan, how would I recieve the refund and how much time will it take?

You need to contact the concerned registrar. The problem is that these people just act as facilitators; they just facilitate the subscriptions in electronic form. They consider themselves in no way responsible for refunds etc. They have added this disclaimer in their service forms everywhere.

I had similar experience with ICICIDirect, but they simply shrugged off the refunds part as the thing between me and the registrar. I had to run myself to get that.

Look ..if u subscribed for the IPO through online Demat accounts...then , in ideal case, you should receive the refund(in case of partial or no allotment) in the bank account which u have linked with the particular Demat acocunt & that should happen around 2-3 days before the listing of the scrip.
But if it doesn't happen, then u will have to contact Book Running Lead Managers...who will forward your request to Registrar.

Thanks for the replys, I'm going to keep an eye out for. Applied for the Mindtree IPO which got oversubscribed 30 times in the retail category. Hopefully I'll get some alottment. THe company's already growing at a CAGR of 50% and the IPO is well priced, all set to hit the ground running when it lists....
