: Please see today's buisnessline at page 11.It states that "The rajasthan crude is thick,heavey,and waxy which solidyfies at a lower temperature.This calls for specialised production techniques such as hot water injection into the wells..........this technolodgy has not been tried out on a scale that is envisaged by Cairn.......the well pores could blocked by the wax.....Given the quality of the crude ,it is likly to sell at a discount of 5% to 10% to Brent,an industry benchmark."
This is a thaughtful analysis,which cannot be said of the other analytical stuff.pl do read it and ponder it over before your decision.All that glitters is not GOLD. :

Is it worth to apply into Cairn IPO ? What will be the gain on listing ? How much to apply for guaranteed allotment ?

I am not investing in it because i allready have sufficient exposure in this space through reliance industries and ONGC.Both these co's are well managed and have a proven record.In any case ONGC has a 30% stake in rajasthan with Cairn.I do not wish to increase my exposure in the OIL space.May like to read my post yesterday on this IPO .
