Think of the people who have applied for Rs. 1 lac. Now they will have to wait for 15 days to get the money back

Any IPO can be withdrawn if there is poor response? This would mean that we will have to wait until the IPO is reasonably subscribed (minimum 1 time) before going ahead with our application, to be sure the IPO has good response. But if all think like that, an IPO will never get subscribed.

Does this mean the end of IPOs?

I think Wockhardt & emaar mgf failed due to huge negativity in the market, possibly this was not the correct time for these issues when the sentiments are down. Both of the companies will comeback when the market become stable

It is a shocking news for the investors, but considering the current market state it was due!
