Hi all,
Any idea about CAIRN INDIA IPO allotment? It was supposed to happen on 29th Dec. My queries are as follows: 1) Even if it has been allotted , then when we will get the status of it? [ I am a newbie and its my first investment in IPO and i invested through ICICI Direct]. 2) I applied for it @ Cut off price, that is @ 190 per share for 525 shares. Afterwards I came to know that the CAIRN has decided the offer price to be 160/- per share. So at what price I will get the share? 3) As the retail subscription is only 0.9. so will i get the all shares, I applied for? 4) Usually when we get the demat allocation of IPO in our demat account. i.e. before how many days of listing? I request some senior members to enlighten me on these. Thanks Nitin Last edited by nitinku5021a : 30th December 2006 at 04:36 PM. |

Dear Pal - Nitinku,
Put your worries to rest. Every one is getting full allotment in Cairn India. Two good points: 1. Everyone applying in Retail segment is getting full allotment. 2. On top of it you will be getting refund. This is because the price was fixed at the lower band. Now coming to your queries: 1. The status is available at Rupya website. The URL is http://www.rupya.com/boa/cairn.htm Use your application number and you know how many shares are allotted. 2. The cut off price is 160/-. You will receive refund on Jan/06. It will be an electronic transfer to your ICICI account. 3. You will be alloted 525 shares. 4. Usually 2 days before listing you will be seeing it in your demat account. Happy Investing in New Year... Happy New Year 2007 |

Thanks a lot for your input. I checked with the site and I have been allotted 525 shares and the mode of amount refunded is written "Physical Warrent". Does it mean that i will get cheque/DD instead of direct refund to my bank account?
Thanks again for your quick reply and Happy New year to you and all. Regards nitin |
