dual cores are out-dated and not future-proof... yes, a 3.2 ghz dual core with 2 gb ram would serve ur purpose... but its quite the same as buying a crt monitor and not an lcd... would suggest u go with i3... u dont need an i5... buy ddr3 ram and not ddr2... and ofcourse a motherboard which supports ddr3... the difference in price of a dual core and an i3 is around 2000... i checked just now... the ram and everything else is just same... i guess adding 2000 to ur trading capital would not make a big difference...

dont think... go with i3 and dd3 ram...

thanks bthkwani sir, for this valueble guidance . though dual core may not have any future i just wanted to test myself if iwas sucessful it means if i earn then i will buy i3 or i5 if i failed then use it as home computer just to surf net. as u said it will serve the purpose able to trade on real time that will be enough for now. i just wanted to ensure this. diffrene in prices in my town is around 4000 rs . my biggest worry abt buying a dual core that i may no be able to trade on real time means not be able to test myself afraid of chasing prices. but as u said it will serve the purpose so thanks

i wud like members to please respond to this.... waiting for a few more.... to take a decision.pl help me

You don't need lots of CUP power, so dual core 3.2 is MORE THAN ENOUGH. But please buy 2 GB minimum or 4GB max. RAM .

DO NOT BUY LESS THAN 2 GB RAM.

Install windows 7 - 32bits. Don't install any software that you do not wish to actually use. Install firewall (example: ZoneAlarm )

Also go for 3G internet or broadband with 512 kbps or more speed. 3G is better and may be cheaper.

HTH.

even a old p4 system with 1gb ram would do for day trading, buy a used one if you want to save more money. if you are using diet odin it should be enough, i heard trade tiger uses more system resourses. so ultimately it depends on your trading software. I recently bought this cheap system and its doing well. cpu - amd x2 250, motherboard - ASUS M4A78LT-M LE, ram - hynix 2gb
