Chilli prices may go up sharply as spot markets is
very strong and prices are quoting at Rs. 3850 to Rs. 4000 per quintal. Today’s arrivals are 40000 bags. However there was no affect of rain in the market, only crop has been delayed. Huge domestic demand and lower supply can lead to further rise in the prices. News of quality damage in Turmeric crop in Nizamabad can lead to sharp rise in the prices. Today’s arrivals are only 5000 bags compared to 10000 bags last week. Market will be closed till 17 of this month due to HOLI festivals. So, prices are expected to shoot up further. just pray that someone puts huge delevery in march contract and long positions being squashed like what happened in chana feb expiry locked in 9% down ckt. since u r holding ur positions since so long, just wait for expiry and pray for good delevery, otherwise  u can roll over to april or may.
