Becoming a millionaire or corepathi in india by trading is a fantasy or reality?

#1
Warren Buffet life is a best example for rag to riches story. He started by investing meager amount and now he is one of the most richest man in the earth. He is only a few number of such individuals who become millionaire by trading in US but in india I came across only Rakesh Jhunjhunwala and even him in my opinion cant be compared with ambani's or tata's wealth. Rakesh Jhunjhunwala is a charted accountant who started by investing 5000 rupees in eighties. so the question is, whether Becoming a millionaire or corepathi in India by trading is a fantasy or reality? Can only a person with advance degree in finance only become a corepathi in India?

These are the two most important point which I think is a hindrance for becoming a Indian warren buffet.

1) Weak value of rupees comparing to dollar
2) Less diversity and number of stocks in Indian stock market comparing to US

Am i wrong?

Warren Buffet became rich by long term investing. There are a number of people who achieved success trading like Larry Williams etc.
More importance needs to be given to the vehicle Warren Buffett used. If you read the history of Berkshire Hathaway it used to be a textile company.
Presently it is a holding company for the insurance venture. Sort of like LIC. Using the scale of an insurance venture along with tie ups for takeovers se the one done for Heinz as well as getting preferential allottment incase of Goldman Sachs he has used his scale to take large stakes at the right times.
The comparison is not straightforward if you are looking at someone equivalent in India. Rajesh j. is the most successful and well known there are others as well.
All of them have their ranges of competence on what they understand n invest and what they don't.
Warren Buffet stays away from aviation, biotech companies.
Trading gurus are different from the above and there are a number of successful with different styles momentum channel trading gap fading etc.
From a trading perspective scripts are restricted to the most liquid and trending ones say for eg axis bank. But the other scripts can be good for investment if you do the research here e have growth and value investment styles.

I dont know whether you are being sarcastic or having a genuine doubt. Any way i will consider it as a doubt; corepathi is a typo and what i meant was crorepati its an indian version of millinoaire.

Hope i cleared your doubt :)

Becoming a millionaire or crorepathi in india by trading is a fantasy or reality?

So i think your actual question is " Becoming a Billionaire in india by trading is a fantasy or reality? " .

Warren Edward Buffett continued to live in the same house in the central Dundee neighborhood of Omaha that he bought in 1958. In December 2006, it was reported that Buffett does not carry a mobile phone, does not have a computer at his desk, and drives his own automobile,a Cadillac . In 2013 he had an old Nokia flip phone and had sent one email in his entire life.

In 2008 he was ranked by Forbes as the richest person in the world with an estimated net worth of approximately US$62 billion. In 2009, after donating billions of dollars to charity, Buffett was ranked as the second richest man in the United States with a net worth of US$37 billion with only Bill Gates ranked higher than Buffett. - wikipedia
Becoming a billionaire either by trading or any other business, Attitude is an important point.

My opinion is Billionaires like warren buffet, Bill gates, Ambani, Tata etc are seen their Money/Wealth as bench marks for their business achievements.

But if anybody thinks "money is essential for life , but I cant give my whole life to earn ", then they may satisfy with few lakhs/crores. They may have some other interests than business.

Having min capital of 6-7lakhs is a good starting point and a min return of doubling capital every 6 months is the benchmark I read somewhere.
