I am using NSE paathshaala for paper trading in futures. I added some future stocks (expiry date =24-sep-2015) to my watchlist and in that stocks some are in loss. I assumed futures are similar to stocks and we can buy and sell futures stock contract anytime. But when i tried to sell my loosing future stocks nothing happens. A order is placed and shows that in my intraday trading but It still visible in my watch list.
Does adding future stock contract to watchlist means buying that stocks lot? then why there is a buy/sell button? is the futures buy/sell is different from ordinary stocks?
As a newbie i am still confused with futures buy/sell? If possible can you give me a simple live trading examples (from your experience) for how to buy sell futures.
ex: I added a lot of future stock contract AB(1000 shares-expiry date =24-sep-2015) with current price 20 expecting to give 1% profit. After a day the change is -2% and its in loss. Now i want to sell the futures contract completely. How to do it?
