Is NRI allowed to involve in intraday in F&O segment?

#1
Dear All,

I am new to Traderji.I just joined today only.I have already invested in Indian Stocks; sometimes involve in Intraday traading as well.

I have demat/trading account with both ICICI driect and Zerodha. It seems that I may travel to Australia for a long term(probably a year) after a month or so. If I travel to Australia ,then I will become an NRI.

I have read in NSE FAQ that I can not do intraday(in cash segment) and I will be allowed to take positions(Long/Short) in F&O.

My questions is this: As an NRI , will I be allowed to square off my position within the same trading tay? .I mean, I dont want to carry overnight positions. In otherwords,F&O intraday trading is allowed for NRIs?

Your response will clear my doubts. Thanks in Advance! :)

Nope, NRI's are not allowed to trade F&O as per my knowledge. You can check with your broker however and clarify your doubts.
