How do i short the market?

Dear members,

I'm turning bearish on the markets for the long term and want to short.

My question is how can i short he indian stock markets long term.

Initially I thought there would be atleat one reverse ETF or MF but it appears we don't have any. Then i thought about long term options like LEAPS but not sure if there are any.

Wondering if any members here can advise me if he knows any reverse ETF's or MF's even private ones which are not publiclly traded are OK with me, or if there are any long term options for the Indian stock market with a period of two years to option expiry.

I'm not interested in futures too short term for this play and I don't want to lose money in rollover since I will be holding for atleast two years.

If anyone knows of any private funds or any other way i can short the market index maybe a MF ot ETF with an asset which has a perfectly correlated inverse ratio to the market please do let me know guys

Hi Arya,
If your long term view is bearish on stock markets....you can buy dec2015 Nifty put options if you want to hold the position for two years....but volumes will be low ....please visit the link below

This is a way to take a bearish position for long term as you are buying nifty put options....

yare thx so much Praveen, I'm not so familiar with options, when i traded them just few times 5-6 years ago they just had max three months expiry.
