Alternative of Meta 4.00 Platform??

Hi Folks,

I want to trade with Xcalper. Meta trader 4 is recommended to trade with them but I heard that MT4 get crashed after installation. I want to know about MT5. Is it same as MT4?? Please let me know the difference between MT4 and MT5.
