hi mrageish, of course crude and gold, they have less brokerage and taxes as compared to futures and still i believe are less manipulated by local brokers. and volatility is same or almost same.

i think more people should share their choices with reason over here.

Additionally, Margin requirement for Gold & Crude (5%) are almost half of NIFTY FUTURES (10%).

So if a system gives similar returns in both NIFTY & CRUDE, I would go for CRUDE as i would be able to trade double with same money as compared to NIFTY.

NIFTY has an edge as far as Options are concerned.

moreover the volumes have decreased for futures considerably, after currency trading has started, which is more liquid.

Trading commodities in local exchanges is a tough ask for a positional trader like me, i find the trend in commodities is most of the time in inverse relation to the trend in INR. Thus resulting in only a few trades per month. Rest of the time sticking to stocks.
