Intra Day Trade or Long Term Trade? Which is safe?

I am beginner for trading and new to this forum. I have seen people sitting in front of computer and trading and watching them for few days i have learnt what is intra day trade and long term trade. However, I would like to know which is safer and will gain income as I am planning to invest 50000 rs next month. Your suggestions would be helpful..

Intraday trading requires 9am to 4pm sitting in front of computer. Positional trading (short/medium/long term) does not requires to sit in front of computer everyday but weekend 2 to 10 hours are enough.

If you know that what will happen tomorrow then both trading is safe, otherwise both type of trading carries risks.

If market is volatile then intraday trading earns money, if market stays stable then little difficult to earn in intraday.

It should be your decision that what type of trading you would like to do, how much money you can keep for trading, how much time you can spend, how much return you are expecting, etc.

Since you are beginner, always remember this: Keep stop loss in any type of trading to save your money!

First you should have a method or plan which suits you, with which you can trade with comfort, till then you should paper trade as sheetal suggested above. Intraday trading needs lot of efforts, concentration and descipline, while on the other hand swing trading is quiet relaxed, but before moving on to any one of them you must have proper knowledge of money mangement, trade management etc. So I would suggest you to aquire knowledge and gain confidence till then paper trade only.
