I am relatively a newbie in the Indian stock market. Recently, I purchased some shares of Gayatri Projects and I understand that I'm eligible to participate in the rights issue. I don't know the modalities of a rights issue. Will I get some notification through the mail or email inviting me to apply for the rights issue? My stock broker is Sharekhan. Can I expect Sharekhan to send me an SMS and/or email when the rights issue opens? Does anybody know when Gayatri Projects will announce their Rights Issue?
