NRI Trading

Hello Experts,
I am an NRI living in the US of A and fairly new to trading . From my research so far I have discovered that American NRIs have got a few restrictions trading in Indian Stock Exchanges...having said all this could you experts plz advice me on a few things

1. Which Brockerage firm would allow US NRIs to perform trading ... I have seen on Sharekhan & ICICI trading websites that American NRIs are not allowed .

2. Whats the minimum time frame an NRI shud hold a stock before they can sell it... I am aware that they are not allowed to do Day Trading .

SEBI is planning to open up equity investing for qualified foreign investors (QFIs) on Jan 15 this year. That should help you out :thumb:. You can read about it more in the news.
