We need some advice

Hello everyone :)

My mom wants to invest in stocks but she has never done it before so we are doing it through stock broker and i was wondering if we were to invest about 20 or 25 lakhs in stocks through stock broker can we expect at least 1 lakh monthly income? or would that be too unrealistic? If not then how much can we expect to get monthly in current market?

Need some advice plz :D

We are completely new to stocks btw we just started learning about it through books and online free game trade and stuff like that but we dont plan on doing it ourselves anytime soon so lol

If you are looking to invest, then dont ask your broker to do it. Its like asking a cat to guard a bowl of milk.
He will just do heavy punting to generate heavy brokerage which is his goal.
Capital protection is never their goal.
Invest a portion the money in some good equity based mutual funds first.
Start learning tricks of the trade from the forum and then when you are ready to trade you can go off.

well if u are completely new to this... the simplest strategy that i would advice would be to keep 20% of ur money into intraday trading with medium risk profile andinvest the other 80% into equity and mutual funds...

i can elaborate if u r interested...

Hi Neha17,

Nine months ago, I was planning to do stock trading with INR 60,000 to test. Landed in this forum. Before started trading, sent a PM to a senior member and got some good advice. Thanks a million to that senior member. Still studying TA books, reading articles online, paper trading, charts etc. Going to start real trading next month, with the same INR 60,000 :)

sumeetsj is right. Take time and understand how it works before you trade. You can learn from this forum a lot.

Good Luck.

Thanks a million again to that senior member !!!

Before going for a huge investment, get a hand on expereience with a investment of 100,000 - in 2 or 3 major sectors (Always better to investment 30%+30%+40 = 100%, whenever the market move down) will help you to understand how it works and how the stock move. Just take a minimum six months to understand . Understand about the companies, where you are going to invest from various sources and become the share holder of companies with very financial soundness and growth potential.

Dear Neha,

Visit the "Stock to keep CLose eye on" thread.

Post the same query there to SavantGarde or Asnavale. They will guide you towards investing wisely.

I can give you some idea or advice , but you have to decide how you want to tarde , are you able to take risk or not , or you just want a safe investment , as you are new you need some guide from your broker /expert .
One thing I can say that the minimum return from stock market is always greter than any other investment ,so don't worry just start slowly with coolmind , and always keep ptience.
Thanks
