Trading rules for OCI

My cousin is US Citizen and has OCI.he went to india and settled there.He opened regular(resident) trading and demat a/c. and operated from India.

In january he came to US due to improved economy in US, can he operate resident trading or demat a/c from US?

Pl suggest.
