A newbie .. lost in all jargons

#1
Hi All,

I am a newbie, can anyone suggest me a financial plan for next 3-5 years. I have just joined my job, invested in SIP MF : Reliance Power Sector, Reliance natural Res. , Reliance Infra. , UTI wealth, UTI Energy, 1k/each per month.

I am looking for some long term (3-5 yrs) investment plans. With a 10k initial and a 2k investment each month to come. Can any one suggest me how to move ahead, till the time I gather some knowledge on investing.

Thanks in Advance,

Tirtha

NB : This forum is really helpful, actually I love forums and blogs where people come up with their own point of view and enlighten others.

you have invested a lot in sector funds like power, infra.natural res........well i may be wrong but i suggest you to invest in gold etf and if you want to have more risk then you can invest in midcap fund if you want to stay invested for more then 5 years......my personal view says that gold never losses its shine and it can be bettter investment, furher you can start a sip for an index fund .

If you want to invest in stock market at a medium risk(as everything related to stocks is risk) I suggest you start reading about high dividend yielding stocks. Among the stocks go for some psu banks which would give you moderate returns and healthy dividents with very little risk.. Above all read a lot about anything you want to do rather than take the plunge after listening to somebodys advice.Mine included in this .A good place to start about dividends is the site I found helpful.
