When You Entered The Markets and How?

You remember when you entered the markets and how? Lets share when and how here.For me it is long 23 years back.At that time i keep on reading the quotes of shares in THE HINDU without even knowing what they mean.Then i met my guru Mr.THAYUMANASWAMY who was working in BHEL and a great investor and trader.He explained me all these formalities and keepon sending me applications of good IPOs.my first allotted shares are of STILES INDIA.What about yours? Can you recall and share with us?

Mine is Astra IDL(now astra zeneca) in 1983. or '84, I don't recollect. That allotment of 50 shares @ 10 took my entire savings(500 was my monthly salary those days). This was followed by Dagger Forst(a FERA dilution co. --a buzz word during those days).The third one was Champagne India. Haven't sold any of these due to sentimental reasons and still holding them in its present form.
