H1N1 already in U.S!!!

The swine flu outbreak in mexico has already entered U.S through a group of students from NY who had gone to Mexico on a trip. The first major defence for U.S is the tough screening procedure in the airport that has been breached already and a spread of this airborne virus in U.S could spell doom for the world economy. Airline stocks down already.

H1N1 is a mix of human, bird and swine flu and is a mutating virus. There isnt much info about it. Roughly 1300 infected in Mexico 81 reported dead. With protential to be a deadly pandemic in this time when the world is getting smaller everyday keeping in contained in the American continent could be a challenge.

Update: Total deaths in Mexico 170 confirmed 8 deaths from swine flu. Mexico almost shut down. Presence in 13 countries confirmed. WHO raises alert level to 5 which is one level than the max. Drug to be ready by June.

Preventive measures: To stay away from crowded places and wash hands. Covering mouths compulsory.

Unlike bird flu, swine flu doesn't need pigs to spread. it can go from human to human. Not know to be deadly when treated.

Travel severly affected. Markets set to take a tumble.
