Anyone earned on Nov.18,2008(intraday)

Hi, I'm new to trading. And i have already posted some queries regarding stop loss. I have a question: Did anyone earn in intraday trading on Nov. 18, 2008.
I lost my money. If anyone earned then plz share how did you forsee the large swings on this day.

With experience in Screen time & lots of mid-night oil burning plus lots of faliure one can some time earn if not on daily A/C atleast on weekly A/C.
I did earn a little bit today by 12.30 & trailing the Stop over telephone at day's end ,a little bit more.Many a days i also loose.

I did earn a little bit but left with Nifty Future 2680 LONG.

I did earn little. If it were not for the volatility, profit would have been more. Anyway it was better than a scratch trade day.

If you are absolutely new to trading then you must learn rules of this game before venturing with real trading. Go through this forum, read some books, seek advise from senior members of this forum etc. If you play blindfolded it will take no time to wipe out your bank balance.

I earned a little, chickened out too quick, and then wanted to avoid loosing what I had already made for the day and decided to skip the remaining trades which worked like a charm

In short a small winning day, compared to what could have been a BIG winning day

Trading is not easy as you think.Just because some trading rules are there it is essential to follow with stop loss.You have to survive to earn,Please paper trade and see how much loss you can bear for 50 consecutive loss trades and have that risk capital to trade by following the system.

initiated two day trades on bhel. 1st trade: loss rs.6/share+brokerage. 2nd trade: gain rs.13/share-brokerage.

Yes I earned today , roughly 12 -13% of my capital excluding brokerage, 3 profitable trades and 2 loss making trades , key to earn in stock market = T.A + Money Management

Many traders ignore money management but that is equally important as T.A

I did not make it. Market gave me profit. It accepted my entry and made it valid. I must accept the fact that I just turned little rogue (I like to call that attitude so ). One must be arrogant for not accepting the small profit the market gives. On the other side, I just shut down my system just after realizing how I behaved and felt humiliated for a while, for not practicing something I know vital.

Another lesson to wrote down, to keep in mind and to review.
