Re: Share Khan Brokerage charges

i don't know the exact brokerage of sharekhan, but i assume it to be 0.50 for delivery based and 0.05 for intraday trading.

delivery brokerage (which you buy and keep for a few days or years): 0.50%

1. say you buy 10 shares of Reliance 10@1200 = 12000 is the total amount
2. the brokerage is 12000 * 0.50 /100 = 60rs + taxes.
3. and when you sell reliance @ 1500; 10@1500= 15000
4. the brokerage is 15,000*0.50/100 = 75rs + ndsl/cdsl charges = 6to8rs + taxes = 85

profit = 1500-1200 = 300*10 = 3000rs - 75+60 (brokerage) = 3000-81 = 2919 profit. in delivery based trade.

1. say we buy 10 shares @ 1200 = 12000
2. and sell the same 10 @ 1250 = 12500 (in a few minutes or hour, before 3pm)

brokerage is calculated on Sell side only for intraday:

12500*0.05/100=6.25+stt say 7rs.

Profit:we gain 12500-12000=500 - 7to10rs = profit 490rs intraday.

For Options : the amount of brokerage charged will not exceed 2.5% of the premium amount or Rs 100, whichever is higher.

There is a typo in your post at point no.3, please correct it.It should be 1500 instead of 2000.
