Nifty Future Charges

Dear forum members i don't know these questions has been asked previously or not because i am not able to find it.
my query is that
1 in order to purchase one nifty future how much i need to pay when Nifty is quoated at 3000 and lot size is 50
2 similary when I am selling one nifty future without having any nifty future how much money i require for the same.
3 And how and when can i exercise the future.
4. suppose i sell one future today and purchase it tommorow can i exercise it on same day

Hi Manish, u need to get your basics done first!! Dont know the exact amount (margine required) for buying Nifty but on an average consider it at around 20% and the amount is same if you sell a Nifty (Short Sell).
Futures are never exercised!!! They are only squared by taking opposite position!!! Exercising is done in options.

Hi thanks for the response. here i mean that suppose when nifty is 3000 at this time i need to pay Rs 13000 approx for purchase or for sale. but apart from this how much extra amount i need to keep in my account in order to sell one mini nifty without having it. I have already gone through the guide. and i didn't find the ans to this questions.
and my another question is that suppose i sell one future today and i paid the margin now when i'll purchase the future tomm to square it do i need the margin again in order to place the order.
and will it be adjusted against the sold future automaticaly or i need to place manual request to the broker for the same.
will the adjustment be reflected on EOD or just after purchasing or n T+2 days basis

At expiry the futures will be squared off automatically.
The amount is debited/ credited accordingly.

In case of Shares there is MOVEMENT shares electronically
from or to your account whereas in case of FUTURE ,it is
only an agreement hence no T+2 settlement business.
