Hi,

My questions might sound silly...
But if i need to know,I need to ask.
Will a demat a/c alone do for me to begin trading..(intra-day & short-term)?
What is 'paper trading' and 'active trading'?
Am a software engineer peeking into share market since 2 months.

Thanks in advance!

for trading you should open a trading a/c along wiht demat a/c. some brokers will allowe you to trade with a trading a/c only. [ ie. without demat a/c] but its safe and practice to open a dp a/c with trading a/c.

you can do all intraday/short-term - long term etc as u wish with parameters of your broker. I suggest kotak securities ltd.

paper trading means to play with figures without cash. just a testing method of your trading plans and strategy.

active trading is one which involves cash and emotions.

begin with small capital, gain the patience, workout profit/loss every day/weekly basis. Never take intraday trading as a fun. its a serious business and the risk/reward ratio is 70 : 30

happy trading

babs

happy trading

trading account for day trading. demat a.c. for we hold our stocks in e.form.
only one demat a.c.is enough. but our brokers told compulsory to open a demat with them.
because, 1. it is easy to transfer our daytrading shares into the demat, if we wish to hold them. 2. they get little money.
