vagar did not reply to my query , but that guy must be leveraging very high on zerodha thread.
Ohh you are talking about 1 to 13.3. Sorry I didn't see your message. I would have replied for sure. You can also message me, I will reply with 3-4 hrs. I am very active at traderji.

Yes, he is using very high leverage on stock futures. He has 8 yrs experience trading since he was 18. But, it is not advisable for newbies to use that much leverage. Not BO/CO.

Yes, 1300% return can be misleading as well. Options, BO/CO can be used for high leverage as well. He must have been using that.

If anyone follows my calculations, they will be truly disappointed as risk is low and return will also be low.

My capital is 20,000 and i kept approx 4,000 in Z a/c for eq. I do not use CO, MIS order only, never faced margin insufficient issue. :D
I recently started BO in almost all trades , the reason is putting SL is mandatory in it ,it disciplines you,
otherwise in MIS orders sometimes I do not put SL on the system and just in mind
and you know what happens , abhi mud jayega kehte kehte watt lag jati hai :(:p

You guys should check this out
Its a Zerodha initiative

Long back in the General thread there was a discussion regarding opentrade, we all came to conclusion, based on subscribers experience that few of them are gamblers using high leverage, and few others are hedgers, using another a/c to take opposite direction trades etc. etc.

YEs, Gamblers and fakers :thumb:

Actually I got confused with the threads, we were active on another one who wanted tension free 30%. Thought it was this thread so we can direct him there :D

Ya, thats a good idea. Never mind, post the same thing in that thread also.
Opentrade is almost tension free. We just have to wait for the notification, and punch in the order and voila, Paise ki baarish ho jayegi.

There might be a few good consistent traders as well. Also one TJ member z also there i think, don't know who... Not ST for sure.. he clarified that he is not Ursa Major. :D

Damn!! You were not born in TJ during that time, otherwise opentrade debate would have been more hilarious.
I thoroughly enjoyed the "leg pulling" instances... :p:clapping:

Since you are profitable with some qty in equity, you have some edge. If you have edge in Equity, you should be able to do same in Futures. It even has less expenses.
But there is no need to make big jump in trade size. You can increase size first in equity and then move to Futures once your trade size is similar.

You can also consider using fixed risk ( say 1-2% of your capital ) in every trade and varying Qty based on entry and stop distance. This makes every trade same in terms of risk and removes the high risk / low risk mindset.
Using too much risk % per trade would make your nervous and hence the problems.
