What is meant by AR ?

I have not received dividend from NHPC ..when complained they sent me this email -----

Kindly send the AR.

AR = Advance Receipt

What advance receipt does it mean the bill of my stock purchase

Dont think it is Advance Receipt. The most common full form of AR for Share holders would be : Annual Report.
The effective date of latest Dividend payment of NHPC was 9th October 2015.
