Something Fishy in Punjab

PATIALA: In a sensational jailbreak, armed men on Sunday attacked the maximum security Nabha jail in Punjab and escaped with two terrorists, including Khalistan Liberation Force (KLF) terrorist Harminder Singh Mintoo and four gangsters, police said.

The attackers, dressed in police uniform, breached the tight security of the prison around 9 a.m. with at least 100 rounds fired during the well-planned and executed attack, jail officials said.

In a related development, police sources said police fired at a vehicle on the Patiala-Cheeka road (towards Haryana) which did not stop at a barricade set up to catch the prisoners who escaped. A woman was killed in the incident.

The incident took place just two months before assembly elections in Punjab. It is seen as a major security breach and intelligence failure.

“The shocking manner in which the gangsters walked into the high-security jail and freed a dreaded Khalistani terrorist along with other convicts clearly shows complicity at the highest levels.”

All the above will get attached soon under banami properties.Just wait for some more time.

All corruption will not come to an end in one month but we have to make a beginning somewhere....

I know a few families who are stuck up with large cash in their lockers...so many have been cought on wrong foot...why do you think these political parties doing so much " aakrosh?" ,don't get fooled by what they say....this aakrosh is for the fact that their war chest has become useless in just one night .

Seems a very lively discussion going at your place. :p

A development taking place is that govt. servants are now enjoying this note ban as they have to carry lighter weight for more earnings. The new notes have come into play for under the table duties. :D

no no dada,I'm not with Pappu or Didi..I voted Modi but I am worried about below 3 points.

I'm not against Modiji's Demonetization..
But I wonder why Modiji-
1)not approving Lokapal Bill at a first glance??
2)why he took back his decision of "Declaring assets and Liabilities" for central govt employees??
3)why he approved changes to anti-corruption law that will protect government staff from probes??
This is a very beautiful video on Effect of demonetization of 500 &1000 note currency-

Worth Watching

Modiji agar corruption ki jad pe war kar de to achha rahega..But Modiji's new amendment will protect Govt Servants :annoyed:

When replacing all Rs.500 and Rs.1000 denomination notes with other denominations could cost Reserve Bank of India at Rs. 12,000 crore, based on the number of notes in circulation and the cost incurred in printing them.

It costs Rs 2.50 to print each Rs 500 denomination note and Rs. 3.17 to print a Rs. 1,000 note. New Rs 500 notes cost at the same to print then its an additional Rs 3917 crore spent in simply to maintain the same number of notes in circulation.

The new Rs. 2,000 notes are likely to cost about the same or a little more than the Rs. 1,000 notes, which means an additional cost of Rs. 2,000 crore to print them.
Of the Rs 14.5 lakh crore worth banned currency notes, about Rs 8 lakh crore has come back as deposits into banks.
Chances are more currency – declared as well as undeclared – may transform into legitimate bank deposits in the coming weeks. This probably wasn’t the calculation with which they embarked upon the mammoth demonetisation drive.

The arithmetic then was simple: around Rs 4-5 lakh crore that would not return to banks could be showcased as black money isolated by the government and later taken out from RBI’s balance sheet -- which accounts the currency under circulation as liability-- to recapitalise banks, sponsor affordable housing projects and lower fiscal deficit. While some of the currency may never eventually turn into deposits, New Delhi possibly fears the number could shrink with every passing day.

For the government it’s not a happy outcome of demonetisation. If indeed, a predominant part of the Rs 14.5 lakh crore is converted into deposits, it would either mean a mountain of undisclosed cash has been laundered, or much of the black money is not really in the form of cash.

Not only this people, many BJP people are also caught off guard. I know two politicians who are screwed very badly. Both from BJP. There are many corrupt goons in BJP as well. So this step by Modi is superb, whatever whiners say. Yes there are problems now at ground level. Things did not go smoothly. But this is a huge step and most leaders wouldn't even dare to take. It may take around 4 to 6 months before things settle down.

Problem with people is that they want instant result. Damn Maggie, you screwed mindset of our people :D . if he takes one step why didn't he take other?

Someone yesterday said that market performed better in Manmohan time or Rupee did well during that time. What was status of world market during that time? How is performance of other world currencies? Still those who were happy with congress will get a chance to re-elect in 2019. Use your vote and bring UPA back in power. Kejri supporters will have to wait for 22nd century though. :D
