The health ministry has termed the CSE report as inconclusive saying that the methodology of calculating pesticides in colas is flawed and it is safe to drink.

Despite whatever is being said in the media, I was and am a infrequent consumer of aerated drinks, and generally discourage people from consuming them heavily in any case.

amazingly, coke in america is different from india..they maintain high standard there....

still my friend, you get the coconut (DAAB) for 10 rs..and a coke in 12 rs.. much better consume the natural coconut....

I've quit aerated drinks..I may only take it very rarely now....

Angry Re: To drink or Not to drink

It all depends on how old one is. If one is 50+ pushing 60, what the heck! If one has got by that long drinking & eating anything that was on offer here in India (especially) & elsewhere thus far, again what the heck!

And talking about Colas.......what about the nimbu panis, the pani puris & the bhel puris, the ghanne ka ras, the gulab jamuns, the rossogolas, the jelabis, the rabadis, the masala dosas, the paav bhajis, the bhel puris, the batata vadas, the bhajiyas, the this & the that that every manjack in India thrives on out of roadside eateries.......what about them I ask?

And.....and, does anyone think that the other indigenious softies (won't mention by name) are any purer......have another guess 'cause the water contamination levels (if at all ) can't be too different......after all SAARS & the Avian Flu just got plain scared & kept miles away from here, did'nt they.......and why....for crying out loud my friends....we in India are naturally immune to all such intrusions by otherwise fatal bacteria/viruses.....I thought the CSE should have factored this in before crying hoarsely foul from the roof-tops.......Dr.Sunita seems to be following the old adage "When you have nothing to do, hang a Gora".....after all we are an independent nation now . Sic!

THERE ARE OTHER THINGS TO BE BOTHERED ABOUT IN OUR COUNTRY MY FRIENDS, NOT COLAS & SUCH..... FIRSTLY, LET'S GIVE A HELPING HAND TO OUR FELLOW & NOT-SO-FORTUNATE BRETHREN; SECONDLY, LET'S LEARN TO TOLERATE EVERYONE AS FELLOW-EARTHLINGS WITH EQUAL RIGHTS & FREEDOM OF EVERYTHING; THIRDLY, LET'S SHARE THIS PLANET EARTH WITH EVERY LIVING BEING, ANIMAL, INSECT & PLANT ALIKE AND NOT BE SELFISH; AND LASTLY, LET'S BE INDIAN WITH TRULY PATRIOTIC INNER-SELVES WHO IMBIBE ALL THE AFORE-SAID QUALITIES. .... Jai Hind.
