Our obsolete intelligence system and the general apathy among leaders towards the value of human life has put us again through the ordeal we have unfortunately become accustomed to.

Bomb Blasts happen in Srinagar and nobody is bothered. Are terrorists so much ahead of us and so much familiar with our psychology that they can plant so many bombs in the commercial capital after putting country's most disturbed state through fire in the morning!!

Ace_trader u are asking about our intelligence services.. Do we really have anything in place. What our govt is good at is declaring high alerts after any such incident. The high alerts of the 1999 blasts are still on...!! Shame on us for letting incapables rule us...!!
I am horrified why are we such soft targets..??

Nope buddy we are not soft targets, we have turned ourselves soft targets with the chalta hai attitude and the laxity shown after parliament attack was the point from where we have started to be taken as granted. So much for all the atomic power.

hi aca_trader
I feel the chaltha hai attitude is what makes mumbai diffrent..!! People just forget try to forgive and move on..!
We as a nation are not aggressive enough! If this was somewhere in israel u could be sure that they would rock the cowards with some bombs of their own..!! Please goverment atleast provide us some security please make us feel safe..atleast make use of 2% of the tax collected in improving the security of our stations and other such places..!

To put it into perspective, I would like to narrate a real incidence very briefly.

America is Israel's closest ally, we all know that. Without the support of USA, there won't have been any Israeal. But once it so happened, that an US warship ventured (perhaps by mistake) into isreal's sea line. Israel's Navy first warned them and then started firing on them. The US ship's captain could not believe it and he thought that israel's guards have made a mistake in not recognising them. So he ordered a change of flags and new bright flags replaced the old ones. But still the warship was bombarded to the hilt.

Later on the coverup was that it was a mistake. Only a few know the truth but then should not our country atleast be punishing the offenders?

Regards,
--Ashish

"Shivraj Patil said that the intelligence agencies were aware of the likelihood of blast but could not trace the location of the same in time."
If they were so aware, then why these hotspots, like railways, markets, airports etc were not given extra security?Or may be they were testing the authencity of the news..perhaps.
Lastly our government should stop giving those unnecessary concessions to the terrorist groups, like for instance, they are called for dialogues, deadly terrorists are released,in hope that peace will prevail,..but do peace really prevails after all those soft acts???
