To our very own Traderji - A Tribute

#1
This is a tribute to our Moderator & in a very realistic way, our Leading Light. The following hymn aptly fits the bill. Readers please note that Stanza 3 has been modified from the original by me & modifications (with humble apologies to John Henry Newman) appear in italics......

Lead, kindly Light, amid the encircling gloom

Lead, kindly Light, amid th'encircling gloom,
lead thou me on!
The night is dark, and I am far from home;
lead thou me on!
Keep thou my feet; I do not ask to see
the distant scene; one step enough for me.

I was not ever thus, nor prayed that thou
shouldst lead me on;
I loved to choose and see my path; but now
lead thou me on!
I loved the garish day, and, spite of fears,
pride ruled my will: remember not past years!

So long I was fumbling, stumbling & bungling, sure you still
will lead me on.
O'er moor and fen, o'er crag and torrent, till
the night is gone,
And with the morn those profit figures smile,
which I have loved long since, and lost all the while!

... Original by John Henry Newman, 1833 (with my very humble apologies Sir)

Sorry, Jaideep but I have not found time at all in the last couple of weeks and today I saw this. The problem is that the purpose of this forum apart, the audience profile is also different which you must understand. Your poetry is too classy at times and it is like showing an art film to someone who is interested in a commercial film or showing a test match to somebody who is interested in a one-day-match. Even in Ashwani Gujral's chatroom, only 20 percent people tried to learn technicals. Can't be helped. God made the world like that- it is said that he liked ordinary people too much and so made to many of them.It is people like you, Joy, NKP,Amitbe etc and last but not the least, the redoubtable creditviolet who have made this forum interesting. When things like this happen, I look at it as a trade that's gown awry. Good practice for practing trading psychology.

As for your tribute
Which you have sincerely tried to contribute
I can understand your pain being acute
The gita teaches to do karma without expecting the fruit
Your poems have been wonderful;I always salute
Most times you have been classy, at times you have been cute
They are so great that unlike me, you can have no substitute
It is time to take another route
It is time for another pursuit.
In current circumstances, for you it would be like being rescued with a parachute

It is a strange coincidence that after mentioning you in this posthttp://www.traderji.com/general-chit-chat/5459-blogging-wordpress-com.html,I had to read your post. Why don't you start blogging? Everything needs marketing and marketing is all about positioning or reaching the right audience. One has to not only learn to play one's own instrument in the orchestra of life but do it in front of the right audience too-"O mere dil kahin aur chal, traderji ki duniya se dil bhar gaya.........."

Dear Jaideep,
It is really surprising as to how i missed this post.Look at the number of viewers.only 70.but the omission is unintentional & the benifit of doubt goes to the forum members.
I view this forum atleast thrise a day & this shows how lively the contributions are.
Peter Drucker, the most praised management Guru says that the Manager is assessed by the quality of the people under him.
So also this forum.Ever since i joined here,i had gained lot of knowledge & continue to learn & benifit aswell.
The excellent quality of contributions & contributors in this forum stand testimony for the good work of Traderji cum Moderator, the driving force from behind. Many a times the way he presents complicated subjects, makes them look very simple for lay man.
I wish him all the best & prosperity in life.
My comments are true compliments.
By the way Jaideep,as Sh pointed out,yr vocabulary is too much for us & you may have a relook.(just for fun)Keep it up & we could appreciate the style though may not be able to match.

Thanks sh50 (I know your name tho' :D ) & Ranga. I surely don't deserve the lift from you guys. Humbly speaking, just look at the 5 fingers of your palm or the 5 toes of your foot & you will know what I mean.

As for Traderji our esteemed Moderator, let's not all of us forget that he's why we're all here & why we're saying what we're saying & what-not on this great & august forum. Frankly speaking my friends, I really like this forum & all it's members for the openness:eek: & diversity of views & opinions.

Here's a quote for all to ponder upon. May ring a bell for some ....

"People seem not to see that their opinion of the world is also a confession of their character." - Ralph Waldo Emerson (1803-1882)
.....Until next time...:)

Thank you everybody for your kind words.

The objective of this site is to

1)bring all kinds of people interesting in trading and investing together as one community.

2)to share first hand knowledge and information from actual traders and investors freely.

This site aims to fill in the void we all face in the arena of trading and investing. Which broker should I open an account with? Which software to buy, which stock looks like a good buy, which technical indicator should I use, etc, etc.

Having a one central location to find this kind of first hand info from actual users helps us all in our endevor to become profitable traders and investors and makes life a lot more easier.

Traderji.com has been fulfilling this objective thanks to all you members in this forum.
