Effect of obama visit

Hey guys, obama visit has been created a hype. Can anybody tell me what effect this visit wil have on our economy for nxt 1. To 5 years.

In my understanding it is not going to make any effect on our economics. It was more like a holiday trip for US Prez ,may be to pay tribute to Indian for their support or may be to Indian god of whom idol he was carry in his hand through out his campaign .To dig in more details lets have a look on issues which India might be looking for

Can US grant UN Permanent Seat ?

No. It is not possible for US to grant it but it can support India. In today International dynamics and with having veto power with all P-5 It would not be very easy for India to get a P-seat in Near future. India need to work more to bring all P-5 to its side .
I think US president did more favour to US by announcing the UN seat support because US economy can not ignore a fast growing market that to at the neighbour of a country(china) which US think as threat .

Will US allow dual technology export to India.
Looks difficult. Because India has not signed NPT and if US do so it will have lot to think about its policy on Iran , North Korea and against other countries which aspire to be a Nuclear power.

Can US ask Pak to Stop supporting extremists and drop Issue of Kashmir ?

Why will US do so ? India is one of the biggest buyer of Armouries from US. US gives 1 bn Dollars Armoury to fight terrorists and then in result Indan need to buy 4 Bn Dollars Armoury from US.
What does US do ? They make Armouries , Satellites and high end technical products. India is one of its customer so to attract its customers US need to create use of it for them.

US policy on Outsourcing ?
Developed country prefer to do only high end jobs and outsourcing is a good value proposition to US business houses so US can not stop business houses from doing outsourcing. Any action US take against outsourcing will go against US only. For Ex: Visa fee high , who is going to bear the cost of these ? Not Indian companies. Indian Companies will simply pass any additional cost to outsourcing companies and companies will pass to customers. So finally it will come to customers only.

Outsourcing jobs which are withdrawn from India are not due to government policies but due to customers complaints(customers find difficult to Understand Indian English ). But in any case KPO is going to stay .

Benefits US Gets from this trip ?

I think it is more a political and strategical trip to give a signal in US that US is against the outsourcing and pro actively went in search of markets to create jobs for US citizens.
They have been successful in sending these signals back to US. Deals they signed will create upto 50k jobs in US but what will India get ? Luxury items and armouries ?

Also US know that India is going be a big Nuclear power projects market . US companies are going to get maximum benefits from that. But would be good for India as well.

Was it politically motivated ?

Loosing ground in Iraq , Afghan and competition from china(or threat ? china being biggest holder of US bonds ) could have made US to bring India close to keep strong hold in this region .



These are my thoughts. Would love to listen others as well.

Well, it was America who got benefited from this trip at least MR Prez was successful to create 50k jobs for Americans and our media is happy in hyping his Jai Hind Speech in Parliament.

I agree, President Obamas visit was simply to secure jobs for unemployed Americans who were very badly affected by the Economic recession. It had nothing to do with the betterment of the Indian economy.

The expenses of Obama's security was too much high that it could convert many villages to good cities. Our government spent money on these leader but dont think about the children who dies because of just hunger.

The main effect that is being seen now is that one of our Union Ministers (Kamal Nath) has a court case and arrest order from a New York Court
