Today I am writing about Tamil Actor Surya's Good deeds and as I am writing this the program has been telecast in VijaY T.V.
VITHAI (SEED) AGARAM FOUNDATION
Actor Surya is the son of the veteran Tamil actor Sivakumar ,who is famous for his Honesty ,Discipline ,Yoga and memory skills. Sivakumar , for the past 25 years has been awarding scholarship for the first three students from each district of Tamilnadu.
(Government school students not from Matric schools)
Inspired by his fathers good deeds Surya started Agaram Foundation ( agaram repersents the first letter A in Tamil).Last year he contacted his ten close friends and each contributed 10 lakhs .With one crore they adopted 100 students who scored high marks and not able to pursue higher studies due to poverty.Eveyone of those students and parents shared their miserable
life and their thanks to Surya and their benefactors.Their stories brought tears in the eyes of viewers.
The students were chosen carefully and their background were examined throughly by volunteers .
This year 158 students were selected.More people are willing to donate but Surya told them that this is a pilot run and they want to steramline it before accepting more funds.
Surya's sincere efforts bring light to hundreds of students' hearts
and lives.
