Demat and trading account

Is it legally allowed for a person to hold more than one demat and trading account..(i know its a very juvenile ques for a forum like this but am new so plz help)

Hi,

As far I know you can open multiple trading accounts at different brokers but your demat account will uniqe it is not possible for single person to open multiple demat accounts.

Please correct if I written any wrong information...

If i am not wrong, Demat ac is linked to your PAN no. so if you try to open one more a/c they can find using same PAN no
