Helo all

I am new to ths portal.I have been reading the past posts and I must confess to have been swayed by the warmth and friendliness of this group.

I need you seniors advise on some simple methods of identifying a rally when it is starting and how to get in and out.Any availle resource on understanding the volume and the price game ?

I have been investing in stocvks more from long term perspective than trading. But now I want to slowly get in to trading on a weekly basis.I am looking at small gains and larger turnaround of my stocks.

Also, how does one get tips on what exactly is happening to each counter and who is buying and selling etc.

I will sincerely appreciate anyone who helps me in this

Thanks and regards

refer to "teach a man to fish .. " thread that beautifully explains the price action and identification of trend. You will find links to many more useful threads in Beginners section.

Happy Trading
Dear Mukund,

Besides this, you could reach many resources from which you can learn trends.

What you have asked is not really a simple question. A trend is easy to identify in historical charts. That may test one's ability when you are in a situation to identify a trend when it is young.

Learn things, keep doing your own observation. Come out with your own trend following system.

Happy Learning.

Weekly movements of prices doesnt depend on fundamentals, so to learn trading for short time is based on technical analysis. There are many techniques like charting etc. each with their own pros and cons, so what works best for you will depend totally on you and your tempo about that technique.
To do it long term, as far as i have gained from this from this forum, I would say that you read about them, then practice the one that suits you, tweak it till u get hang of it and when you confidence has developed about your system, then only you should jump with your real money in market.
This initial stage may in itself take any time around 2-4 months..
Regards
