Girls, Women, Money and.... Sensex?

Are you a sophisticated female investor in Indian markets. Then make your presence felt here.

I have often found myself asking this question about this strange [almost rare] nexus of the fairer sex and the Sensex.. [pardon the pun].

In fact, if you ask me, I have two 'regrets', our Indian markets still are not matured enough, when compared with some European markets and American markets. Don't get me wrong. Perhaps we lead the pack in investing, trading savviness in the entire Eastern World. Yes, even China and to a certain extent even Japan. [Leave Pakistan out of the exchange :D, the KSE keep moving the circuit levels, when they get bored, to stop the markets from tumbling :D, then what do you expect about the common public!]

And my second regret or lets say a point of pain is the absence of aunty's and their beuatiful daughters in the investing community. Kiddin' about the last line. But yes, I do think, that to a lot of extent female anchors in CNBC or NDTVProfit[ or ABCD or whatever the channel names are] were hired keeping in tow with their beauty index.

I don't find any references to those real thinking brains of the fairer half. Those with some members call 'a beautiful mind'.
Something like an Indian version of Raschkes and others.

But to my pleasant surprise, I am stumbling across names, which are predominantly female and Indian(!!!) [My, my , am I dreaming?] in Traderji.

So, I would like to invite all of you, to chip in with any references of savvy female investors[even better if they are traders] and yes, if you are one of this elite groups [Indian, woman and investor], then please do chip in and leave a post.

A big disclaimer: I apologize, I thought, Soumya was a male.:D [My assumption of Soumya being a male investor was due to my 'dogheaded' belief that Indian market is filled with only males:) ]

So do chip in.

So soumya is a non male? not one of us? :)

Seriously, the name sounds male...

No offence to seniors like him/ her :)
Is 'he' a male? Man, what happened to me? Somewhere I think, I have read the person behind the name Soumya is a female. I don't know, Soumya are you a male or female? Please clarify... :)

LOL... haha... that's what I call humor...
Yeah..who knows, imagine your gf selling the contracts which you were buying, and think of the smirk on her face, when you come home talking about your losses....

Actually it can be a guys name like, Soumyadeep or Soumyajeet or something like that or its very much possible the name is just Soumya....

I think, we are making a mountain out of a molehill... :) Soumya being a male doesn't take make him anything less, but if the person is a female then it just adds credits to her, for bucking the trend.

But yes, how many of us, in traderji belong to our better halves?

May I request the ladies to make their presence felt?

There are a few female (fundamental) money managers in India. Like Tanvir Gill [aye haye!:D ] and others...

But real traders who 'swing' :D, 'arb' or 'spread' is not yet found...

By the way do we have any spread traders over here? No gender bias in this question...
