Short-term instruments

Please move this thread if this is not the right forum.

I am in India and want to invest some amount for a short term of 6 to 7 months. Can you guys kindly suggest me the available options for me? And, what do you recommend me for least risk and maximum return? Is it Treasury bills or something else?
