Biotehnology: As A Field For A Career

HI'
I Need some insight regarding 'BIOTECHNOLOGY' as a field for a career, especially for talented girl's.
A young and bright girl want's to pursue education in 'BIOTECHNOLOGY' and i am finding it difficult to give any advice on the subject.My preference is for MBA or the MCA or 'FINANCE'.
Which are the best institutions esp, in north india?I am aware that biotechnology is an upcoming discipline and i associate it wth 'BIOCON'--although it has not so far done much to it's bottomline but has 'wonderful prospects'?????????????????
SO i did not invest in it at all despite the wonderful prospects.
NOW HERE IS THE SAME "DILEMMA".... WONDERFUL PROSPECTS?????
COULD SOMEONE THROW SOME LIGHT BEFORE I GIVE ANY ADVICE TO ANYONE*************************************************

Well! the first thing is a student should be allowed to pursue a career in field of his/her own interest instead of a field of some one else's choice. A person will always give his best results in the field he can relate to.

Further, it's just like a value vs. growth investment. If you invest in a value stock it will give u moderate returns while a growth investment true to its name has the potential to offer astronomical returns. Bio-technology is the future so why not a person should be encouraged to adopt a career which is going to cause stem cell, Genetic Food and Genetic babies revolution of future?

I shall be the last person to compell anyone to do something that I feel is good .I shall advise only where i feel confident that i understand the subject.Generally I encourage the Children to find out what they are good at and what they love to do.
IN mytime we just followed what everyone or most of our friends were doing.So i ended up doing a pure sciences masters , only to forget it all in 30 yrs of govt work, and I REALISED THAT FINANCE IS WHAT I REALLY LOVED TO DO.BUT NO ONE FOUND THAT OUT TO GUIDE ME WHEN IT MATTERED.
Ha Ha Ha...and so life went on and on and on
........Now here is a situation where it matters and I have to give some opinion...... and i want it to a informed one.
BTW after visiting the sites as posted by you i am afraid i am not much wiser!!!!!!!!!
