What a gift by BSNL to its Dataone customers on the new year. It just could not have been better than this. Can you imagine? Home 250 plan usage limit has been enhanced from 0.4 G.B. per month to 1.0 G. B. per month. Speed has been increased tremendously. All at no additonal cost. Users of other catagories have also been showered gift on the new year by BSNL. Who says that public enterprises cannot move ahead of time and do revolutionary things prior to private players? For more details on tariff plans, usage limits etc. please visit the following links.

Thanks to BSNL and HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL TRADERJI MEMBERS.

Hello RSI,
I must admit first of all your message does not makes sense to traderji members.
Anyways I am not surprised by BSNL's move. They want their market share in the broadband segment hence these steps.I have heard from lot of my friends that BSNL service is poor and you have downtime & drop in bandwidth frequently(I am not sure how far this is true) I have been using Airtel broadband for more than a year now.I have never ever faced an issue with bandwidth and connectivity.
I am not sure though BSNL can provide such a service.

Best Regards,
Abhi

Also addl usage charges down to 90p/MB from 1.40/MB and speed moves up to 2MBPS from 256 KBPS.

The best gift for the New Year has come from BSNL.
Magic of competition! ;)

Hello Abhi
My message does make a sense to traderji members. Because, internet is the medium through which you get live intraday quotes and EOD files for all charting softwares. Further, how do you connect to this forum? Through internet only.

My intention was to alert traderji members about the possible future gifts from their service providers too, shortly. That is what we call competition. Remember what happened when some one offered free incoming calls (on mobile phones) for a fixed price for two years? It went all the way to offering lifetime free incoming calls.

Also, if other internet service providers do not act quickly, my post will be a reminder to all traderji members to try out dataone connection and compare it with the service provided to them by the private players so far. Compare it speedwise, usagewise, value wise. If you find BSNL dataone better, shift to it. Anyway, no one is going to harm oneselves by being aware of various choices avaliable in the market.

My sincere request to you is to try dataone. It has come a lot better now a days.
With warm regards

Dataone rocks and wins hands down over others,if u experience downtime etc maybe because ur wiring is crappy,i have faced downtime twice and i am using dataone for past 2 years. The rates are cheap especially and lines pretty fast. Most of these companies such as reliance, tata, airtel dont provide that bandwidth just run test at dslreports and u wud see for urself.

hi all,

it is a good news that dataone tariff is revised. but a word of caution while using the 250/- package.

if you subscribe to the 250 package and exceed the 1.0 GB limit to say 2.5 GB ( the limit corresponding to 500 package), you will end-up paying 250 + (1500 * 0.90) = 1600/-. and also you will miss the night time unlimited facility also.

i feel 500 package is better than the 250 package. when you are crossing the 2.5 GB limit, you may shift your downloading jobs to the night time, thus not paying for the MB's beyond the limit.

the tariff for the extra MB is very high and needs to be reviewed by BSNL. the tariff may be such that, when the consumer reaches 1.75 GB (mid-way of the two package limits), he may have to pay the next slab amount. this works out to about 33 paise for each extra MB, as against the current rate of 0.80 per MB.
