will it attract any taxes?

if its not my wife/family member and someone outside the family is it legal ?

You need to consult your accountant for such things I assume but let it be for now anyway. I do hope it will make it only much better thna it already is for whatever reason. How much taxes you need to pay you may ask from your consultant - that's really it.
