Parabolic SAR System with Futures

I don't use PSAR regularly. I do strictly follow Ichimoku. Positions are taken as per TK and SS directions. Also considered are RSI for additional trend confirmation, OBV for volume direction and ATR for price range, for SL determination with out plotting any of them on chart.

I tried to keep the system as simple as possible to enable implement and trade. Just one indicator on the chart PSAR and its based on a directional trade. Entry and Exit rules are simple to understand and implement. Timeframe is hourly which enables to withstand the noise of the market.

The systems which are fairly simple are often the best ones and perform for a long time as they are based on real market inefficiencies rather than some curve fit set of indicators. I like your approach very much. Keep up the good work.

Thanks,
MT

Please see the above the inconsistancy of PSAR an an indicator alone from your portfolio ...

Quoting from >>> 3rd February 2015, 07:46 AM

This weakness can be overcome by diversifying your trading stocks >>>>>>
Diversifying is as doing averaging a single scrip. Simply concentrating on NET. Trading is not only in stocks and all instruments traded get the same rule applied, unless otherwise strategy change happens. . Market rule applies to all scrips, commodities, options, binary, CFD ... PSAR as a single strategy; weakness is proven from user feedback for decades , but combined with others' is one of the best powerful tool.

Please don't consider me as a critic, but as a well wisher to your determination/strategy, myself saying from 12 years experience in Forex/Indian market. Still struggling with dynamic market and multiple strategies switching between ranging and trending ... but it's real fun ... Not an advise ... keep minimum 3 strategies in your arsenal ... fire on respective market situation.

I guarantee you relying on single lagging indicator like PSAR can be a step towards account balance wiping disaster.

Good luck.

Thanks brother for taking out your time to review the results.

Let us wait until the close of the month and review the net result. I consider consistency is to be weighed on a month on month basis....but not on day in day out basis. Let us see what would be the result at the end of the month. Even then if the 6 months profits outweigh the 6 months loss in a year by generating 50-100% annualized return I consider this system as fairly good provided the drawdown is within limits.

newbie, pros all traders should take NF and BNF for day trading, these are rarely manipulative. but never trade with (for day trading) cash stock, do you know any one broker of NSE or BSE can easily manipulate with only holding of 5000 shares, they can easily manipulate their shares for 1 min, 10 mijn or 1 hour and within these times small traders (bakhra!!) are easily being trapped .......
