Yes. Many trade futures in India. Look at this forum!? Many many traders are present.

calendar spread :
This is the ONLY spread which NSE has recognized till date and offers margin benefit. Hence, anyone interested ought to play this one.

yah I know many trade NIFTY futures in India but what I am asking is is it worth trading this calnder spread?
Last time I calculated taxes taek away a lot 3-4 points
