Hi,
First of all, I don't intend to trade with 10 crore, cuz I simply don't have that..:D  . I want to know in trading, what is the max amount one can trade, whether intra-day, swing(not positional). Now I'm not asking about investing, as I know its quite possible in investing, I'm asking about trading(Whether intra-day or swing only).

Again, many ppl will say you can trade that much if you have that much. But here is it practically possible? Lets say to trade 10 crore ,one would be needing to at-least trade with 200 lots(assuming one lot = 5 Lakh). Is it practically possible to get that much of fill even in highly traded counters(NF, BNF, Tatasteel, DLF, etc).

Short answer is Yes....

One can trade many many more times than the amount mentioned by you....

Requires a very different mindset...and strategy.

Having said that....there is an individual limit on each underlying Futures & Options position....... laid out by Exchanges..... works in the same way when a particular Derivatives contract gets into a Market Wide Ban...

The figure mentioned by you can easily be absorbed in our markets. Few multiples of this figure also is not very difficult to deploy. One can devide the sum on swing trading and daytrading portfolios and select a few non correlated counters to trade. You need a mindset of a swing trader and not a scalper.

i think the daily turnover of NSE alone is around 1 lakh crore so 10 crore is just mothing infront of that :)

Above Rs. 20 Crores 0.030 Rs.15/- Rs.10/-
Rs.10 Crores to 20 Crores 0.035 Rs.15/- Rs.10/-

SavantGarde/Smart Trade,

I have this question since long time but couldn't put it in words.

Could you please clarify below...

What is the possibility of a single intraday order for Nifty Futures of 300 lots getting executed.

Really appreciate your reply.

Thanks,
YI

If you put Market order it will be less than a minute.

Look at the data for the last 5 days, the average total number of contracts traded for the near month is about 4,00,000, which comes out to about 1025 contracts per minute.

Sir,
Is there a way to determine the maximum lots one can comfortably trade(intraday) for a particular stock future(high volume),without having the fear of getting stuck while trying to exit or having to worry about order getting filled, also would there be a way to determine the distance between the trigger price and buy price ,once a comfortable volume to trade is determined.
