Beginner at Nifty Futures Trading

#1
Hi,

I would like to share my experience of trading in Nifty Futures. At the outset, i would like to tell that I do not have any technical trading knowledge. I buy Nifty futures based on news in tv programmes and international news that are expected and based on the levels of Nifty. I have made Rs.5000/- after deduction of brokerage last week, i usually trade 1 or 2 or at the maximum 3 lots and sell the lots if i get a 20 to 60 points in Nifty Futures.

Before I buy/sell Nifty Futures, I look at the following:

1. Market sentiments whether it is negative or positive.
2. Is the Nifty at all time high like it is at 5300 or is it at 5200.
3. Look at Zee Business, CNBC, etc and fid the resistant and support
4. Look at Asian Market in the morning and around 12.30 at the European Market sentimens.

I do know this might be a small amount of profit but i am trying. Would like new traders/part time traders to share their experience of Nifty Futures trading and what info is looked into before purchasing Nifty Futures.

There must be lots of new investors/parttime traders who might be doing like me. Please share your knowledge in this thread.

Best of Luck, Regards,

Hi,

I could see that you already have a method or strategy to trade NF.
If you are able to close months in green consistently and as long as your MM & RM is prudent, you need not worry.

But, have a general idea about chart reading and incorporating Technical Analysis might help you better.

If you're profitable consistently with your trading method, do NOT dump your method altogether. Just try to incorporate a slight TA into your strategy.

I hope the information in these links would provide you with a good lead:
